I need to download and install oracke 10g RAC on my ubuntu os pls can someone help

Most likely it will be a .deb package and will need to be extracted. It's been a while since I've installed files like this not in the "Add/Remove" section, but, typically, their install manual helps a lot.

I was wondering if ubuntu can support "10g Release 2 (10.2) for Linux x86" 'co after reading the readme file i found out that red hat os was only mentioned as the susitable os.

Ubuntu USUALLY runs most of what is set up for Linux...but then again. Shouldn't hurt to try, anyway.

Oracle software can run on Ubuntu systems (I managed to do it anyways and so did others). The company only supports red hat based systems though, so you will have to look for information yourself on the web. I hope you're not running 64bit, cause that increases the difficulty level greatly. When I come home Saturday, I could give you more information. I don't have access to it now.
